On An Inhale
 
Last night I went to bed feeling like CRAP! I haven't felt this way in a long time. After a few failed healthy meals and picking at left over cookies I felt sluggish and utterly uncomfortable. I haven't stopped working out/yoga but 3 days of eating crap will make you feel like it. Mentally I was mad at myself. I "should" know better. I have lots of tips and tricks that keep me in check but they just didn't happen. What is happening...ending the 3 days of unhealthiness now.

I'm hoping that understanding my own habits, weaknesses and having weight stuggles (especially when I was a teen) will only help me better understand and relate to my students and future clients.

In past years I'd eat unhealthy from Christmas to New Years and "start fresh" New Year's Day. The longer you eat unhealthy the harder it is to go backwards and workouts become more difficult. It doesnt have to say 1/1 to put down the chocolate and pick up some spinach :)

I got in a 30 minute cardio session this morning and I'm teaching (and also practicing) yoga with a coworker at lunch. I plan on taking my workouts and yoga up a notch the next few weeks and making lots of frequent trips to the farmers market!

My advice: Move on from the weekend and eat healthy TODAY.
